Great Adaptation and Modernization of an Excellent Game
Adapting Little Big Adventure from 1994 for mobile devices was quite a challenge. Nevertheless, although it is a great game, it had somewhat rigid gameplay, which posed a significant risk that the adaptation could fail. Fortunately, however, Little Big Adventure passed through the hands of the developers from DotEMU, who successfully transferred the gameplay to touch devices.
The controls in Little Big Adventure are now based on the touchscreen. Swipe to jump, tap a selected character once to talk to them, and twice to attack. The commands are clear and significantly improve the gameplay quality compared to the original.
To ensure maximum clarity in Little Big Adventure, numerous minor effects have also been added, such as active items being highlighted on the screen with a magnifying glass icon. If you get stuck, hints will appear to help you find the right way out of the situation. These are quite useful game elements, especially since Little Big Adventure is not completely without flaws. You will often find yourself frustrated as navigating certain platforms can be incredibly slow. Little Big Adventure does not have a pathfinding system, so if you point the hero to a location, he will go there directly, not avoiding walls and other obstacles in his way! Well, one might expect that our hero would have a bit more intelligence.
